TMS Therapy

How many TMS sessions do I need?
Standard TMS is 36 sessions, 5 days/week over 6-7 weeks. Each session is about 20 minutes. Most patients notice improvement by weeks 3-4.
Does TMS hurt?
Most patients describe a tapping sensation on the scalp. Any discomfort typically fades within the first week. No sedation or anesthesia is needed.
Is TMS covered by insurance in Arizona?
Yes — most major plans cover TMS when patients have tried 2+ antidepressants without adequate response. We handle all prior authorizations.
Can I continue my medications during TMS?
Yes, most patients continue their current medications during TMS treatment. Your provider will review your full treatment plan.

Spravato

Is Spravato covered by insurance?
Yes. Spravato is FDA-approved and covered by most major commercial plans and Medicare when criteria are met. We handle all prior authorizations in-house.
What happens during a Spravato session?
You self-administer the nasal spray in our office, then remain under clinical observation for 2 hours as required by the REMS program. You'll need someone to drive you home.
How quickly does Spravato work?
Some patients notice improvement within hours to days — significantly faster than traditional antidepressants which can take weeks.
What's the difference between Spravato and ketamine?
Spravato (esketamine) is FDA-approved, insurance-covered, and administered as a nasal spray. IV Ketamine is used off-label, typically self-pay, and administered intravenously. Both target similar brain pathways.

IV Ketamine

What does a ketamine infusion feel like?
Sessions last 45-60 min in a monitored clinical environment. Some patients experience mild dissociative effects that resolve quickly. You'll need a ride home.
Is IV ketamine covered by insurance?
IV Ketamine is typically not covered by insurance as it is used off-label for depression. Contact us for current session pricing and package options.
How many ketamine sessions do I need?
A typical initial course is 6 infusions over 2-3 weeks, followed by maintenance sessions as needed. Your provider will create a personalized plan.
